The BSF for Bio Circular Economy and Environmental Sustainability BBEST held its annual review meeting in Kinshasa, DRC, just after its official launch on March 16-17, 2023. The two-day meeting brought together experts from partner institutions and stakeholders to discuss activities carried out in 2022, evaluate them, and plan activities for the new year 2023.
The key components of the annual review meeting included the presentation on activities implemented by the project coordination team and the partner institutions, and learning experiences.
The coordination team, including the monitoring evaluation and officer and the communications officer, gave comprehensive presentations on the activities they undertook during the year. They also delved into the main activities that were implemented under the project.
Shifting the focus to the second day of the meeting, the partners from the various institutions worked in groups on the project's various activities and sub-activities for the new year. Following this work, both groups made presentations on their discussions.
The meeting closed with words of thanks on behalf of the partners from World Veg's Regional Director for Central and West Africa, Dr Malick Ba, and on behalf of the coordination team from IITA Kasaï Station Manager, Dr Paul Dontsop.
