As the management consultant for the BBEST project, Dr Saethre provides technical assistance to the project manager, supports him in implementing the project activities in all target countries and in liaising with external partners, including the donor. Together with the project manager they conduct site visits to implementing countries to monitor field activities. With her wealth of experience in research for development, she leads the BSF research activities and support the National Research Systems (NARS) in implementing their assigned activities to achieve the project goals. Prior to joining the BBEST project, Dr Saethre worked reputable institutions such as Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), where she served as a senior adviser, the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) as the Deputy Director, Research for Development (R4D), where she wrote and contributed to many research papers. Many of her papers were published on research gate.
